ADMISSIONS PROCESS FOR NEW FAMILIES

Thank you for your interest in Fortis Academy. Fortis is a multi-denominational Christ-centered educational community. In our academic model, dedicated teachers work in collaboration with families to provide an exceptional education for students in Pre-K through 12th grade. We require at least one parent to be a professing Christian and actively seeking or involved in a local church adhering to the Nicene Creed.  See the Fortis Academy Overview Page for full details.

Step 1: Understand the Fortis Classical Christian Approach

• Read An Introduction to Classical Education by Dr. Christopher Perrin to help understand the basis of a Fortis Classical Education.  
• Learn about the advantages and unique features of the University-Model® employed by Fortis Academy: Introduction to University Model Schools

Step 2: Complete an Inquiry

Please complete the inquiry form below to help us know a little more about your family and their needs.  Once you’ve submitted an inquiry form, proceed directly to Step 3 to schedule your campus tour.  Inquiries are accepted starting in September through July for the following school year.

Step 3: Schedule a Tour

Fortis campus tours run on a weekly basis and can be scheduled using the calendar below during the enrollment season, September through July.  If none of the listed calendar dates work for you, please email [email protected] to schedule a private tour.

Step 4: Application and Testing

Applications for the Fall 2025-26 school year are now open.  

Complete the online application through the Fortis Academy SchoolAdmin portal and register for entrance testing for grades K-12 ($150 non-refundable application and testing fee per student).   

Once you create your Fortis SchoolAdmin account and start an application, you will have a number of checklist items to complete:

1. Complete the Application Form
2. Provide Transcript
3. Provide Teacher Recommendations
4. Provide Family Reference
5. Statement of Faith Review
6. Schedule Entrance Testing (K-12)
7. Schedule Final Family Interview

The button below will take you to SchoolAdmin, our enrollment process system, where you will create an account and fill out the application and the various other items listed above.

Step 5: Enrollment

Fortis Academy administration will provide an admission decision. Upon acceptance, please complete the following steps through the SchoolAdmin portal:

• Enrollment Form (One form required for each MDO-12th grade student)
• Complete Medical Release Form
• Complete Release of Liability Form
• All students must provide either immunization records or exemption form
• Create FACTS Account (Financial)
• Review the Parent and Student Handbook
